Living Out Loud is a new release by Joyce Cooling, one of the world’s most gifted jazz guitarists. It could well be the theme song for survivors with its up tempo and an arrangement that moves the body and spirit. I couldn’t help thinking as I was listening to it the message in the music – live boldly even if you have cancer, live life to the fullest! Give a listen and let the music move you too!
Caregiving can be a rewarding and an exhausing experience. It starts out as a sprint but over time can become a marathon. It is as important for the caregiver to find comfort and inspiration as for the person being cared for. This song, written by Joe Dziobek expresses both his strength in caregiving and vulnerability calling on a higher power to help him get through when the caregiving becomes too much for him to manage on his own. We welcome your feedback!
PRCRI is pleased to host on our site a video of the winning entry in the Anti-Tobacco Poetry Slam held on May 23, 2019. It was a collaboration between the Pawtucket School Department, Cancer Prevention Taskforce, and the Pawtucket Prevention Coalition. The entry makes a strong case for tobacco use prevention directed toward middle and high school students.
